Hard Hat Shuffle

This was for a bit of a challenge at Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia. Sharnook challenged us to scraplift a layout from a recent magazine. I lifted a layout from For Keeps... d'oh, I've lost the information about what I scrap lifted. If I find it I'll fix this up. Apologies.

Sweet Baby Cayley

Did a layout just to please myself, but it just so happened to also fit the Scrapbooking Top 50 monthly layout challenge of Bling! again.

Had a bit of an accident while creating this layout. I dropped the butterfly onto the page where I did not want it, but couldn't get it off, so there it is, and I had to work around it.

Don't think I was completely successful at getting the page balanced, but it's not too bad.

The colour in this is not quite right, but the close ups show it a bit better.

That darned butterfly in all its glittery glory.

Stickers and rub ons for the title.

Embellishment cluster.

Most of the flowers on this layout are from Scrapsadaisy. Mmmm, love those flowers.

Welcome Cayley

This layout is for the monthly challenge over at Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia. This month's challenge is "Bling is the thing!"

I just love the expressions on Elisha's face. Pure innocence and cheeky devilishness. All within a matter of seconds.

Products used:
Bazzill, blue
Ribbon, blue with gold edges (from a swap I think)
Basic Grey SweetPea Jack Letter Stickers
White Gel Pen - drew halo and horns on photos
Kindy Glitz - added a bit of sparkle to the doodles on the photos
Remnants of maya road and fti? ribbon
Secret journalling on back of another copy of the "devil" photo, tucked in behind... pull out using ribbons.

Nan Goes Up and Nan Goes Down

It has been cybercrop weekend over at The Little Scrapbook Shop this weekend. The DT were challenge by Narelle to create a layout combining patterned papers from three different manufacturers.

This layout is a photo of Elisha at my nanna's house while we were in Melbourne. She has a chair that reclines and also tips you out at the press of a button. After his initial fear of it, there was no stopping him, and poor nan was up and down like a yoyo. She loved it though.

Not the very best of photos, this close up shows it a little better. It really was very special to me that my children have been able to meet both of their great grandmothers.

I added some micro beads to the centres of the flowers with dimensional magic, and I am really pleased with the way that it came up.

Product List, almost all of these can be purchased from The Little Scrapbook Shop.
* Fancy Pants 12x12 Paper - Mulberry Road, Love Letters
* Basic Grey 12x12 Paper - Urban Couture, Lux
* My Minds Eye 12x12 Paper - Bohemia 'Blossom' Angel, Small Samask/Pink
* Bazzill - brown, white
* White mini brads
* Striped Grosgrain - Pink Chocolate
* dimensional magic
* Tim Holtz distressing ink
* Gold micro beads
* Stapler

Just add baby

A design team layout for The Little Scrapbook Shop. These photos were taken about three weeks before Cayley was born. Getting all the baby clothes washed was the last thing I had to do before I really felt ready for her arrival. Got the idea of taking photos of the washing on the line from my own baby album. Thanks Mum.

Clearly Happy Birthday

Created on a whim for the challenge at Daring Card Makers, I just love how this has turned out.

As you can see I've also used this card for the banner of the blog. Know it's fairly simple, but I'm relatively new to the world of digi image manipulation, though excited about learning more.

A close up of the layered flower.

A close up of the ghost letters.

I have used the sewing machine to sew each of the layers onto this card, and also sew the ghost letters on.

It was time

I decided it was high time that I created a separate blog for my creative stuff only, just in case some people would rather not read all the trivialities of my day to day life.

These posts will also contain more information about products and techniques used.

So, without further ado, here it is: Tara Creates.

Hope you enjoy.

Will not be posting older stuff, just taking it from here.
